The year is 2020.
Sense the world does not make.
Two brave souls ventured into the online dating world, and into the realm of possibility where people could get together in person.
They met in a park. They played chess. She won. They revelled in their appreciation for board games, whiskey & ginger's, and mediocre reuben sandwiches, not to mention scotch & cigars on a park bench at midnight.
As luck would have it, a few months later they were living together. Suddenly he was beating her at chess, which only perpetuated their mutual appreciation for board games (preferably those that are cooperative), & it became more apparent every day that puzzles & whiskey were not their only common denominator:
Climbing mountains at 5AM, 4-day music festivals in the middle of nowhere, a day spent at home in PJ's followed by a night out of dancing to live music with friends until 2AM; Skiing or snowboarding, whether cruising down a black diamond or falling so many times on the bunny hill that your fiancee buys you "butt pads" for Christmas.
Matt often talks about the yin and the yang ~ the balance that we refer to as "work hard, play hard." This concept is important to him, both in life & relationships. Karly was looking for that, too, in life, & love.
It is rare to find someone who appreciates all the little things in life in the same way you do, such as playing chess in a park or waking up early to scale a mountain. It is a blessing when you do.
